“ We loved Master Congee so much that we went twice during our Hong Kong trip! It’s always busy, so be sure to arrive early — we came around 9:15 AM and still saw a steady flow of customers. That’s how you know it’s good. The congee is absolutely outstanding — warm, smooth, and fragrant with rice. I ordered the abalone and fresh fish congee, and it was delicious. The fish was clean-tasting and the abalone tender. My friend had the pork liver congee, and the liver was incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked — no bitterness, just soft and flavorful. We also enjoyed the fried Chinese dough sticks (“youtiao”). They serve two types: • The oval one is slightly sweet. • The long one is savory, and that’s our favorite — super crunchy outside, soft and chewy inside. It paired perfectly with the congee. Don’t miss the stir-fried noodles either — simple but flavorful, and they complement the congee so well. Despite being packed, the staff was polite and efficient. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. The only downside is that the restaurant is quite small, and you may need to share a table with other diners, but honestly, the food is so worth it that we didn’t mind at all. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in Tsim Sha Tsui — congee lovers, don’t miss it! ”
